What is “color my run”? |
Well this will definitely be the most awesome time that you’ve ever had running/ walking a fun run 5K race for sure! There aren’t any times to meet or capture except a GREAT TIME!
Well, “color my run” gives you a unique perspective where you won’t care who comes in first or last. It is a great time to spend with your family, friends, co-workers or whoever else you would like to color up! As a matter of fact it is probably more fun to run/walk in the middle of the pack. The runners come from all different ages, shapes, sizes, speeds, and talent levels but everyone that starts, finishes in colorful fashion. No matter what kind of a runner/walker you are you will surely have a great time getting colored up at our fun run.
The fun run event starts off in waves of “Splasher’s”. “Splasher’s” are what we refer to our participants as. The “Splasher’s” head down the course and at each “K” marker is a Splash Zone. The Splash Zones are different colors where we splash every “Splasher”. Within the Splash Zone you will get colored up by our staff and volunteers. After you proceed through all of the Splash Zones you will come to the finish line where the Splash Bash Party takes place. You will be welcomed with flying colors! |

SPLASH BASH PARTY at “color my run”!!! |
after the race, be sure to stay around for the SPLASH BASH PARTY! We will have all kinds of fun with music, food, drinks and you never know when all the color is gone some like to engage in a group rinse! Maybe a water fight of gargantuan proportions may ensue. You never know but be sure to bring towels and whatever you may think will help you protect your car after you have spent the day coloring up with us! |

What is the color used in “color my run”? |
The color powder we use in our fun run is manufactured and produced in the United States. It is made from food grade quality cornstarch. It is non-toxic, and is 100% safe, and also biodegradable. As with any substance, you will want to keep it out of your eyes and lungs. If you are overly sensitive, you may want to wear glasses or goggles for your eyes and use a bandana or dust mask for your mouth. We really recommend some sort of eye protection and something over the mouths of our little SPLASHER’s. |

RULES |
The “color my run” 5K race has only a few rules: |
1. “color my run” white t-shirts at the start line that you will get when you check in are mandatory but then whatever crazy costume or getup you want to wear is fine. Some come all decked out and some in just their running gear. The WHITER THE BETTER!
2. Save your color bags for the FINISH LINE SPLASH PARTY! There will be plenty of color along the way at your color check points at each “K” marker.
3. There isn’t any age limit whatsoever. Kids under 5 are free but will not receive a shirt and there will be a waiver for the guardian to sign before they can participate.
4. “color my run” will take plenty of action pictures and if you like they can take yours with whoever you colored up! You may also bring your camera but we highly recommend that all cameras and phones be protected. |
